Our journey began when Neil Hadfield entered the industry by acquiring the number of a well-known local firm, J&E Taxis. With a clear vision to enhance transport services in the area, he expanded the business to include Josie’s Taxis, Sparkey’s, and D Cabs, building a strong and dependable network of taxis in Workington.

In April 2026, we continued our growth by acquiring Freefone Taxis, making it even easier for customers to book quickly and conveniently. 

Today, everything has been brought together under one name, Preyah’s, named after Neil’s daughter. This reflects not only the growth of the business but also the personal pride and family values behind it.

Preyah Taxi Group is truly a family-run company, with Neil working closely alongside his wife-to-be, Lisa. Together, they are dedicated to providing a service that is not only professional and efficient but also personal and community-focused.
